Strengthening a community sometimes requires a hammer and nails. At Anheuser-Busch we value organizations willing to put sweat equity into building structures that enhance the enjoyment of our lives and the lives of our friends.
Examples of recent grants in this area include:
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF JACKSONVILLE, INC. (HabiJax), Jacksonville, FL
Anheuser-Busch and employees of the Jacksonville brewery are helping put a roof over the heads of those who need it most. Since 2000, the company has provided financial assistance to help purchase building materials for the organization, and Jacksonville brewery employees have devoted hundreds of hours to building homes. Anheuser-Busch also supports chapters in other communities where we do business.
SAN ANTONIO RIVER FOUNDATION, San Antonio, TX
Anheuser-Busch is providing funds for the restoration of the tower bridge – once part of the Lone Star Brewing Company – and its placement across the San Antonio River. The bridge will provide a river-level crossing for pedestrians and bicyclists.
PENTAGON MEMORIAL, Washington, DC
On Sept. 11, 2001, 184 individuals lost their lives in the Pentagon or aboard Flight 77. In their honor, the Pentagon Memorial was established. Commemorative benches represent each individual who perished.
