Anheuser-Busch and The Conservation Fund first partnered in 2000 to launch a consumer-driven program called "Keep it Natural" Carolinas. This program aims to raise awareness about the importance of environmental stewardship, watershed protection and wildlife habitat conservation. In addition to public outreach, the Natural Light and Natural Ice brands help The Conservation Fund support its land and water protection efforts in North Carolina and South Carolina.
In 2005, the "Keep it Natural" Carolinas program helped protect wildlife habitat, enhance outdoor recreation opportunities and expand environmental education programs at the South Fork River Rail Trail in North Carolina and the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge in South Carolina. In 2007, the "Keep it Natural" Carolinas program is supporting the efforts of the North Carolina Coastal Federation and the South Carolina Coastal Conservation League to protect the vital coast of the Carolinas. To date, the "Keep it Natural" Carolinas program has supported the protection of more than 110,000 acres in these two states.
The Conservation Fund also partners with the Michelob Ultra brand to conserve Ultra Trails around the country. As part of this program, the Michelob Ultra brand is supporting conservation and preservation efforts on the following trails:
Jacksonville, Fla. – Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail Trail
Washington, D.C. – Capital Crescent Trail
New York, N.Y. – Staten Island Trail
