Victor Crowned at the 2007 Bud Light USA Rock Paper Scissors League Championship
30-Year-Old Texan Earns $50,000 and Distinction as the Nation’s Best RPS Player

ST. LOUIS (May 17, 2007) – Surviving a field of more than 300 of the finest hand warriors in America, Jamie Langridge, a 30-year-old male from Odessa, Texas, took home the grand prize of $50,000 and the 2007 Bud Light/USA Rock Paper Scissors League championship trophy this weekend.
The second annual tournament, to be aired on ESPN2 on July 7, 2007 at 9 p.m. EST, was held in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13. Bud Light brought together regional champions – 21 years of age and older – from around the country to vie for a big payday and the designation as the nation’s best RPS player for 2007. Contenders who made the trip to Las Vegas qualified for the event by winning Bud Light-sponsored RPS tournaments held at the local and/or regional level.
“Rock Paper Scissors took the nation by storm last year and proved overwhelmingly popular among our adult Bud Light beer drinkers and regional wholesalers that coordinated the local qualifying tournaments,” said Bud Light Brand Director Rick Leininger. “It’s a fun, social and co-ed event, which makes it a great sponsorship for Bud Light.”
