General Manager, Williamsburg Brewery
Education: Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Missouri- Columbia in 2004; MBA from Washington University-St. Louis in 2012.
Hometown: I grew up in Oregon, Missouri. Oregon is a small farming community in Holt County, Missouri. It was named after the Oregon Trail because it was along the path of Lewis and Clark.
Joined Anheuser-Busch: I started my career with Anheuser-Busch in June 2004 as an engineer in the brewery in Newark, NJ. This is the only job I’ve had since college. As an engineer, there are a lot of things I could make. I can’t think of anything better than beer!
Favorite part of my job is: I am passionate about the quality, tradition, and heritage of our beers. I love making beer with the hard working dedicated people in our company. We don’t take shortcuts. The satisfaction I get is watching my friends and family enjoying our products. We taste beer every day at 3:00 p.m. to ensure our beer tastes perfect for our consumers. The consumer is the boss. We taste the beer several times throughout the process to make sure it meets our quality standards.
My favorite beer: I love many beers and many beer styles. However, the passion I have for Budweiser is unmatched. It is the ultimate session beer that tastes great in any occasion. It has nice floral esters, slight malty sweetness and the mild bitterness that makes it fast and crisp.
Brewmaster, Williamsburg Brewery
Education: BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007.
Hometown: I was born in Columbus, GA and moved around much of the Southeast until my family finally settled just outside of Atlanta, GA.
Joined Anheuser-Busch: After graduating from GA Tech in 2007, I relocated to our Los Angeles Brewery. There, I was an Operations Group Manager of both bottle and can lines for several years before transitioning into an operator training/development role. In 2011, I had the opportunity to come back home to the Cartersville Brewery where I worked on Process Improvement and transitioned into Brewing. Most recently, in 2014, I had the opportunity to join the Williamsburg Brewing team.
Favorite part of my job is: The hardworking, passionate, fun-loving people I work with! Great people are the most valuable assets of our company. We work hard to brew, package, and ship the best beer in the world, so it’s important that we have fun doing it together. Our attention to detail and quality is unmatched. Integrity, hard work, quality and consistency are keys to our continued success.
My favorite beer: There truly is a beer for every occasion and I enjoy a wide range of styles and brands. Budweiser is a great choice for many of those occasions – it’s slightly sweet and malty with just enough hop bitterness to balance it out with a clean, crisp finish. Bud Light Lime is my go to in the summer months and the Shock Top Family always has fun varieties to do.
