THEY SEE YOU AND THEY HEAR YOU. TALK TO THEM.
Underage drinking is a serious issue. Fortunately, tremendous progress has been made through sound educational programs and rigorous law enforcement. In fact, underage drinking is at an all-time low. However, there’s still work to be done. We work to teach retailers how to spot fake IDs, and educate parents on practical ways they can talk to their kids about underage drinking.
Family Talk About Drinking
This is an underage drinking prevention program created by Anheuser-Busch in collaboration with certified parent coach MJ Corcoran. But the program is not a set of rules. It’s simply a different approach that helps parents use the tools they already have in a more effective way.
On Facebook, the program has created a supportive community in which parents can introduce new ideas, share stories, ask questions and get answers from qualified experts. We encourage parents to join us on the Family Talk Facebook page, to check out MJ’s blog, and to download a free copy of our Parent Guide. where they can also download a copy of our newly updated Parent Guide. For those who are unable to join our Facebook community, you may download a free copy of the parent guide here.
We believe in working with parents, businesses, educators and law enforcement to develop and support community-based alcohol responsibility and underage drinking prevention programs. As part of our commitment, we provide community speakers who deliver messages of responsibility and respect for the law to groups of all ages, including military personnel, around the country.
