At the request of the American Red Cross, Anheuser-Busch is delivering two truckloads – more than 100,000 cans – of emergency drinking water to California to support local communities impacted by the devasting wildfires.

The donation of emergency drinking water will be delivered to the Anheuser-Busch wholesaler in Oakland, California who will work alongside the American Red Cross to distribute to those in need at their relief operations in Petaluma and Santa Rosa.

One truck each of clean, safe drinking water was transported from Anheuser-Busch’s Cartersville, Georgia and Fort Collins, Colorado breweries which periodically pause beer production throughout the year to can emergency drinking water to help communities in times of disaster.

Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing support for disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have provided more than 82 million cans of water to U.S. communities nationwide.

This year alone, Anheuser-Busch has provided more than 950,000 cans of emergency drinking water to communities in 11 states to support disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross. The brewer has also donated over 1.6 million cans of clean, safe drinking water to volunteer fire departments across the country through their partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council, launched earlier this year.
