FOSTERING A CULTURE OF OPPORTUNITY
A better quality of life starts with a solid education. That’s why we’ve supported education organizations for more than three decades. From scholarships for minority students to brewing programs in partnership with local universities, we support programs and organizations that provide people with access to quality education. That’s the kind of thing that can change lives.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund is the nation’s largest not-for-profit organization supporting Hispanic American higher education. Since the organization's founding in 1975, Anheuser-Busch and the Anheuser-Busch Foundation have contributed over $8 million in support of scholarships, mentoring programs and career services to exceptional Hispanic American students. In 2017, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund recognized Anheuser-Busch as its Corporation of the Year for its longstanding partnership and support.
Matching Gift Program
The Anheuser-Busch Foundation also matches employee contributions to educational institutions and funds through the Matching Gift Program, which matches up to $5,000 a year for each individual donor. Through the Matching Gift Program, Anheuser-Busch and our employees have provided nearly $13 million to support education over the last five years.
For over 35 years, Anheuser-Busch has partnered with UNCF, an organization that is a supporter of, and advocate for African-American college students by providing access to quality education, fulfilling careers, and engaged citizenship. Driven by their longstanding motto, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste.", UNCF awards scholarships and internships to more than 10,000 students annually. Scholarship grants provided by the Anheuser-Busch Foundation help students from low and moderate income families afford college tuition, books, and room and board. In addition to the millions of dollars that we have donated to UNCF for scholarships, Anheuser-Busch helped found UNCF's An Evening of Stars® telethon-style fundraising event.
American Indian College Fund
Since 2012, Anheuser-Busch, has donated more than $1 million to the American Indian College Fund, providing much needed support to American Indian students pursuing associate’s and bachelor’s degrees at the nation’s 35 TCUs (Tribal Colleges and Universities).
