FOSTERING A CULTURE OF OPPORTUNITY
A better quality of life starts with a solid education. That’s why we’ve supported education organizations for more than three decades. From scholarships for minority students to brewing programs in partnership with local universities, we support programs and organizations that provide people with access to quality education. That’s the kind of thing that can change lives.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Since 1982, Anheuser-Busch, Budweiser and our wholesalers have donated more than $24 million to Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, the nation’s leading non-profit organization that supports Hispanic higher education.
Matching Gift Program
The Anheuser-Busch Foundation also matches employee contributions to educational institutions and funds through the Matching Gift Program, which matches up to $5,000 a year for each individual donor. Through the Matching Gift Program, Anheuser-Busch and our employees have provided nearly $13 million to support education over the last five years.
For over 35 years, Anheuser-Busch has partnered with UNCF to help students from low- and moderate-income families afford college tuition, books, room and board by awarding scholarships and internships to 10,000 students each year. We’ve donated millions of dollars and help found UNCF An Evening of Stars® sponsorship program.
Since 2012, we have enhanced this partnership with the addition of the Legends of the Crown Leadership Symposium. The name was inspired by the Great Kings and Queens of Africa, a cultural art initiative commissioned by the company more than 40 years ago to help shed light on the rich history of African Kings and Queens.
The symposium exposes 30 UNCF scholarship recipients to an on-site crash course in Anheuser-Busch’s company culture, connects them with current leaders from various functions within the company, and provides them with the opportunity to enter the company’s talent pipeline via various internship and career advancement avenues.
American Indian College Fund
Since 2012, Anheuser-Busch, has donated more than $1 million to the American Indian College Fund, providing much needed support to American Indian students pursuing associate’s and bachelor’s degrees at the nation’s 35 TCUs (Tribal Colleges and Universities).
