As the industry leader, we go the extra mile to encourage people to enjoy our products responsibly. We take this very seriously. Since the launch of our first responsible drinking campaign — back in 1982 — Anheuser-Busch and our wholesalers have committed more than $1 billion to national advertising campaigns and community-based programs to prevent underage drinking and drunk driving.
And we understand this is a team effort. By working together with wholesalers, retailers, educators, parents, law enforcement officials and professional sports teams, we strive to ensure that our products are always consumed responsibly. For more information, please visit our Alcohol Responsibility page.
We have a team of over 17,000 people across the U.S., and we believe it’s our duty to give back to the communities where we live and work and play. Over the past 20 years, our employees have donated countless hours to help worthy causes through our Employee Volunteer program, and our Foundation has contributed more than $573 million to charitable organizations.
Whether it’s helping rebuild a neighborhood, donating emergency drinking water to disaster-struck areas, or providing scholarships, we’ll do what we can to help make our communities a better place for everyone. For more information, please visit our Communities page.
Anheuser-Busch has always been a strong supporter of the men and women in the United States armed forces, and we currently employ over 1,500 veterans. For six years, Budweiser has partnered with Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships to families of military men and women who have fallen or been disabled in combat. For more information on how to get involved with Folds of Honor, or if you’re interested in finding out more about applying for a scholarship, please visit www.foldsofhonor.org.
We understand the impact our business can have on the world around us, so we work tirelessly to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. As a leading global brewer, we are constantly looking for new ways to conserve, recycle and reduce waste, and to use our resources wisely across our value chain. For example, we recently announced our global commitment to convert all of our facilities to 100% purchased renewable energy by 2025, and will have more announcements to make on this front in the period ahead.
Through these efforts, we’ve been able to make our business significantly more sustainable. For example, we currently recycle 99.8 percent of all waste at our U.S. breweries, and we’ve reduced water use across all U.S. breweries by nearly 50 percent in the past 10 years. Learn more about our major efforts in water stewardship, recycling, waste management and energy conservation by visiting our Sustainability page.
There are a number of ways to see the famous Budweiser Clydesdales. First, you can visit their official home at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery complex in St. Louis, where they reside in an ornate brick and stained-glass stable that was built in 1885.
In addition to St. Louis, you can also see the other two traveling hitches of Budweiser Clydesdales at their respective homes at the Fort Collins, Colorado and Merrimack, New Hampshire breweries.
The Budweiser Clydesdales will also a visit a town near you in the near future! So be sure to check out the hitch schedule to find out when they plan to visit your area.
