DRIVING SUSTAINABILITY PROGRESS THROUGH COLLECTIVE ACTION
Uniting our network to identify innovative sustainability solutions gives us PURPOSE BEYOND BREWING.
Uniting our network to identify innovative sustainability solutions gives us PURPOSE BEYOND BREWING.
At Anheuser-Busch, we recognize that no one organization can solve today’s sustainability challenges alone. Building a more sustainable future depends on collective action and innovative solutions across our entire supply chain – from seed to sip.
That’s why, we launched Eclipse, a sustainability-dedicated collaboration platform developed for our network of suppliers and partners to facilitate shared goals and target-setting, standardized ways of measurement, and best practice sharing.
First-of-its-kind in the beverage industry, the platform was designed to not only help us reach our ambitious US 2025 Sustainability Goals, but to also share solutions with our colleagues and partners globally to drive meaningful change for our environment and enable us to build a Better World together. The platform was even recognized as finalist in the category of “Best Green Catalyst” in the RE100 Leadership Awards for its role in empowering our suppliers to join us in our sustainability journey.
In 2019, we launched the platform in North America by hosting Anheuser-Busch’s inaugural Eclipse Summit in St. Louis bringing together the top 100 senior leaders from our most valued partners to drive action towards our shared sustainability challenges. Alongside our senior leadership including, Global Chief Sustainability & Procurement Officer, Tony Milikin, and Anheuser-Busch CEO, Michel Doukeris, we started this important conversation and laid the foundation for future collaboration by collectively addressing the critical issues affecting our shared resilience, growth and communities.
Since launching the platform, we have explored innovative new ways to partner with our network of suppliers to improve the sustainability of our operations including:
Last year, we continued this important discussion by hosting our 2020 Virtual Eclipse Sustainability Summit to connect with sustainability professionals, project & program managers, and senior leaders from our key suppliers and wholesaler partners to accelerate action and explore the significance of sustainability to our communities, consumers, and businesses.
At the summit, we were also proud to announce the launch of new North American collaboration program, Eclipse Activate, to continue this momentum throughout 2021. Facilitated by Guidehouse – a leader in energy, sustainability, & infrastructure consulting - the program will leverage working groups dedicated to ongoing planning and implementation of projects to reduce carbon emissions.
By connecting our suppliers and partners with resources to guide impactful conversations on sustainability industry solutions and technology, we will be able to reduce our environmental impact both inside and outside our company walls.
We know we don’t have all the answers, but we are working alongside our partners to ask the right questions – questions that challenge our current assumptions in order to push the boundaries of what is possible – enabling us to move forward together.
