At the request of the American Red Cross, Anheuser-Busch is delivering an additional ten truckloads - more than 500,000 cans – of emergency drinking water to local communities in Louisiana in support of recovery efforts following Hurricane Ida and to help prepare for the expected impact of Tropical Storm Nicholas.
Earlier this month immediately following the storm, the brewer mobilized more than seven truckloads – 400,000 cans - of emergency drinking water to their wholesaler partners in Mississippi and Louisiana who worked alongside the American Red Cross to distribute the resources to those in need. Last week, an additional six truckloads of clean, safe drinking water were delivered, followed by four truckloads this week as the relief efforts continue.
The latest donations to support the recovery efforts will be delivered to Anheuser-Busch wholesaler partners, Champagne Beverage Co Inc (Madisonville, LA), Mockler Beverage Company Inc (Baton Rouge, LA), and Schilling Distributing Co (Lafayette, LA) - bringing the brewer’s total contribution to Hurricane Ida relief efforts to more than 900,000 cans of clean, safe drinking water.
The water was produced at Anheuser-Busch’s Fort Collins, Colorado and Cartersville, Georgia breweries which paused beer production this month to can emergency drinking water to support this donation as well as prepare for future response efforts.

Last year alone, Anheuser-Busch donated more than 3 million cans to communities and volunteer fire departments across 43 states in support of ongoing relief efforts including wildfire and hurricane recovery on the West and Gulf coasts.
