Anheuser-Busch Delivered More Than 100,000 Cans of Emergency Drinking Water to Montana to Support Flood Relief Efforts

June 3, 2024 – At the request of the American Red Cross, Anheuser-Busch delivered two truckloads – more than 100,000 cans – of emergency drinking water to residents in Montana after severe flooding threated supplies of safe drinking water in northern parts of the state. The donation will provide a critical resource to residents in areas impacted by water contamination and currently lacking access to safe, clean drinking water.

The donation of emergency drinking water was delivered by Anheuser-Busch wholesaler partner, Havre Distributors in Havre, MT, who is working alongside the American Red Cross to distribute the resources to community members and organizations.

“The American Red Cross is deeply grateful to Anheuser-Busch and Havre Distributors for their generous donation and delivery of safe drinking water following this flooding and threats of infected water in Montana,” said Lauren Ulrich, Executive Director of Operations Management and Logistics for the American Red Cross. “We appreciate their ongoing support of our mission and feel fortunate to count them as a partner.”

The water is sourced from the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Ft. Collins, Colorado, which alongside the Cartersville, Georgia brewery periodically pauses beer production throughout the year to can emergency drinking water and help communities in times of disaster in partnership with the American Red Cross.

Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing support for disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross, dating back to 1906. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have donated more than 93 million cans of emergency drinking water to communities and volunteer fire departments across 49 states in support of ongoing relief and preparedness efforts.
