Of course our sales organization includes our field reps (who sell our leading brands into retail accounts, bars and restaurants across the country) but that barely scratches the surface. Opportunities include roles in forecasting, trade marketing, business and wholesaler development, pricing and promotion analysis and key account management; it’s the strategic side of how we sell our beer. Sales are the backbone of our company—we work hard to get our product in the hands of every one of our target consumers… of legal drinking age of course.
The envy of the branding and advertising world, our marketers have over 19 billion-dollar brands to work on and plenty more brands to build and transform. Not for the faint of heart, our marketing function consists of roles in brand management, consumer insights, innovation, experiential and event management and sponsorship as well as traditional and digital media.
Our logistics team manages a network of breweries, warehouses, and distribution centers like a boss to get what we need, where and when we need it. Some call them wizards of transportation, others, aces of demand planning. We call them vital to our cause. What good is brewing the best beers in the world if they never make it into your hand?
We didn’t think so. Our Supply group is responsible for brewing, packaging and shipping the famous Budweiser beer. They also oversee aluminum can manufacturing, barley fields, hop farms and a rice mill. Life in the brewery is non-stop action with high-speed lines, tight production schedules and unbelievably high quality standards. This is a place where we measure productivity in seconds, not hours, days or weeks.
Paramount in all of this is a commitment to safety above all else and social responsibility. 99.8% of everything that enters our breweries is either completely used in the process or recycled. We also dedicate those big, high-speed lines to help our communities during times of disaster by packaging cans of emergency drinking water. Our customers expect the best and the Supply team provides it.
This function is responsible for managing our talent pipeline and ensuring we have the right people in the right function, helping us drive results and grow in our business. The people team oversees all recruitment and selection as well as workforce planning, target setting, labor relations, employee relations and talent management. This function is constantly evolving based on the business strategy and forecasted needs.
Our Solutions function is responsible for much more than its name suggests. By focusing on innovation and technology, Solutions helps the company solve a variety of business challenges such as predicting out-of-stock product, big-data analytics and supporting e-commerce platforms. It’s so much more than just resetting your home router.
Our legal and corporate affairs teams plays a key role in managing everything from M&A to PR, media relations, internal and external communications and our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. They lead our responsible drinking and disaster relief initiatives and our environmental programs.
If cash is king, then our finance team is the royal advisor. They’re responsible for M&A, budgeting, treasury, accounting and real estate, all of which support immediate and long term commercial and innovation and sustain our company long into the future.
Which is why procurement is so critical for our business. Procurement must balance quality, cost, and risk for every purchase that puts a beer in your hand. This includes working with suppliers of categories ranging from raw ingredients and packaging to logistics and trade marketing materials - all while engaging internal stakeholders across the company's functions.
