About Drink Wiser
In partnership with Anheuser-Busch's flagship beer brand, the Budweiser “Drink Wiser” campaign is our first large-scale effort to take on both alcohol-impaired driving and binge drinking. Promoting hydration and planning ahead, “Drink Wiser” is a powerful initiative we take to the streets to encourage responsible drinking.
Anheuser-Busch debuted the “Drink Wiser” campaign during the 2018 MLB All-Star Game in Washington, D.C. to provide responsible drinking solutions in the summer heat. Over a period of five days leading up to the game, Budweiser brand ambassadors handed out approximately 15,000 reusable plastic water bottles and reminded fans to enjoy responsibly by practicing two specific consumer behaviors: hydrating between beers and planning ahead for safe rides.
In 2019, Anheuser-Busch expanded the “Drink Wiser” platform by renewing its sponsorship with the NBA and releasing a short film starring Anthony Anderson (Emmy nominated actor and executive producer of ABC”s sitcoms black-ish and mixed-ish) and Danny Green (two-time NBA champion ad guard for the Los Angeles Lakers).
