With the goal of reducing alcohol-impaired driving, we lead programs that encourage consumers to have a plan to get home safely as well as raise social consciousness around responsible drinking behaviors.

Since 1989, our Safe Ride program has offered more than 3.8 million safe rides from bars and restaurants.

Anheuser-Busch and our wholesalers have trained more than 637,000 alcohol servers on responsible serving techniques since 1989 to help prevent drunk-driving and underage drinking. Through our partnership with Lyft, the largest of its kind by an alcohol company in America, we provide consumers safe rides home, on us.

By the numbers:

Together with our wholesaler partners, we have offered more than 3.8 million safe rides to and from bars and restaurants since 1989.

In 2019, our wholesaler partners worked with 7 NASCAR tracks and 90 professional sports teams from the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL and MLS to implement “Good Sport” programs, resulting in more than 759,000 consumers pledging to plan ahead for safe ride.

We have partnered with the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) since 1990, investing nearly $3 million in TIRF's ground-breaking research on alcohol-impaired driving and identification of practical ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the criminal justice system.
