Anheuser-Busch Delivering More Than 50,000 Cans of Emergency Drinking Water to Newark, NJ

Anheuser-Busch is providing one truckload – more than 50,000 cans — of emergency drinking water for residents of Newark, NJ in need of clean drinking water.

“Newark is home to one of our 12 flagship breweries and we are proud to do our part to support our friends and neighbors,” said Bill Bradley, Vice President of Community Affairs at Anheuser-Busch. “As a long-standing member of the Newark community, the safety of our consumers and brewery employees is our top priority.”

The donation of clean, safe drinking water will be delivered to Anheuser-Busch's Newark brewery from their Fort Collins, Colorado facility, which joined the company's emergency drinking water program last year. Along with their brewery in Cartersville, Georgia, the Colorado-based facility periodically pauses beer production throughout the year to can drinking water to be ready to help communities in times of disaster.

Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing support for relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have provided more than 81 million cans of water to U.S. communities nationwide affected by natural disasters and other crises.

This year, Anheuser-Busch has provided more than 800,000 cans of emergency drinking water to communities to support disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross.
